Osteopathy Folkestone & Faversham

Restore strength and comfort where it matters

Typing, texting, carrying little people, lifting the kettle, repetitive work tasks, manual labour and sports… pretty much everything we do requires something from our hands, wrists and elbows!

It is not surprising they get into trouble every now and then. There are a number of common musculoskeletal and nerve related conditions that affect these areas, which can be confusing. However our professional osteopaths will always conduct a thorough examination, carefully testing the muscles and joints, as well as nerves where necessary. You can rest assured we will get to the bottom of it.

Our effective, gentle treatments will be tailored to you, and we often end up addressing wider issues with adjacent joints such as the shoulder too, to provide long term benefits in function.

Our Osteopaths are also able to provide you with individualised lifestyle advice and useful exercises to help rehabilitate the muscles nerves and joints in this area, restoring movement and function, with all important grip strength to get you back to comfortable living or sports that you love, preventing further incidents !

Circulatory problems, arthritis and rheumatic pain can also cause pain in the wrist and hand and our hands on holistic osteopathic treatments at Folkestone Osteopathy and Faversham Osteopathy are well pitched to assist you in managing these symptoms too.

This service was my first encounter with osteopathy. After trying many branches of massage therapy, I can tell that this is less painful and as much (if not more) effective than most massage therapies. I went there with an injured Achilles tendon and an “office-neck/shoulder”, and started to feel much better after the first session. Tamsyn also taught me easy and useful home exercises to ease muscle tension and strengthen muscle groups so that my joints could get some extra support in the long run. On top of that, Folkestone Osteopathy has a calming atmosphere, Tamsyn is really friendly and welcoming, and seems to be prepared to fix whatever sores, aches, bad postural habits I'm coming with. The therapy room is always squeaky clean. Lots of brownie points go for the whole experience!

What Is Cranial Osteopathy (& Does It Work?)

It’s gentle, non-invasive, and often used with babies – but cranial osteopathy is powerful for adults too. By working with the nervous system, it helps release deeply held tension and supports the body’s natural rhythm of healing.

Why Osteopathy Isn’t Just for Back Pain

Most people think of osteopathy for lower back pain – and yes, we treat that daily – but it can also support everything from tension headaches and jaw pain to digestive discomfort and postural imbalances. Osteopathy looks at how your whole body works together, not just isolated symptoms.

5 Signs Your Body’s Asking for Help

Aches that come and go. Stiffness first thing in the morning. Headaches after a long day at your desk. These niggles are your body’s way of waving a red flag. Don’t ignore them – early support can make all the difference.
